Services Offered at Action Petz Cardiff

Indoor and outdoor, fully enclosed, off-lead dog play park. No need to book prior visiting but you're required to register your dog(s) online as a member first. Open on Saturdays from 10.00 AM - 4.00 PM.
Cafe, selling refreshments (tea, coffee, snacks).

Dog Day Care Prices

First day*: £29.25 per dog. Includes written pre-entry assessment (£10.00), 5 hours in day care (£19.25) and post-day care feedback. Must be booked in advance and we will need to see your dog's up-to-date vaccination card in person. Please note: due to new Licensing requirements (January 2022), your dog will need to be vaccinated against Kennel Cough in order to use our Day Care facility. We also regret to inform that we are unable to accept unneutered male dogs that are 6 months of age or older.
1/2 day (maximum of 5 hours - weekdays only): £19.25 per dog. 1/2 days lasts up to 5 hours.
Full day (maximum of 10 hours - excludes weekends and Bank Holidays): £26.50 per dog per day. £19.25 per dog per day for any second and additional dog(s) living in the same home address.
Saturday Day Care (between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM): £28.00 per dog. We regret to inform we are unable to offer any discounts for Saturday Day Care.

The Doggy Day Care assessment process is a much more in-depth evaluation of your dog, which will allow our team to determine whether your dog can safely and happily enjoy being off-lead in the company of numerous dogs and our team while you (the owner) is not around.

Dog Day Care FAQs

I have an unneutered/entire male dog. Can he use Day Care? No. Sorry. We are currently unable to book non-neutered male dogs that are 6 months of age or older. After the last lockdown was lifted we saw a tremendous influx of unneutered dogs at our doggy day care, and had to take the decision of not admit any more. A large number of non-neutered dogs interacting for multiple hours in the same playing space can sometimes lead to issues. Our priorities are always the safety and full comfort of all the dogs in our care. Non-neutered dogs can use the play park.
I have a non-spayed/entire female dog. Can she use Day Care? Yes. However, female dogs in season are not allowed in our premises.
What vaccinations does my dog need to have to use Day Care: dogs using our Day Care facility must mandatorily have up-to-date vaccinations against:, Distemper, Canine Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, Leptospirosis, and Kennel Cough.

Do you offer pickup/and dropoff service? Not at the moment, sorry.
I recently rescued/purchased a dog, can I book him/her for Day Care? No. We ask that you and your family live, interact and care for your dog for a minimum of 6 (six) weeks before being able to join our Day Care. This is because our temperament assessment will include questions about your dog's personality, likes, dislikes, health, play style etc.

THE DOG PLAY PARK

Located just 15 minutes away from the heart of Cardiff (Wales) and within easy road links from the M4, our Cardiff centre is dog heaven! Our centre encompasses fully secure indoor and outdoor play areas and a comfy cafe for owners and pooches to enjoy a drink and a snack. You dog can also have plenty of fun at our outdoor paddling pools, plenty of jumps, toys and tunnels to keep your dog entertained and exercised. And remember, there is no need to book to visit the park and no time limits to the play sessions! You and your dog(s) are welcome to visit us any time while we are open and stay as long as you want. The Play Park is open on Saturdays between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Please remember if this is your first time visiting our centre we will require you to register your dog online before visiting us, and we will need to see your dog's up-to-date vaccination card on your dog's first play session. We will also need you to become familiar with our Park Rules.

DOGGY DAY CARE

Fun, attention and play time in a structured and caring environment. Our Doggy Day care is the best place to leave your dog while you work while your pooch is under the care of our professional team of Canine Practitioners.

Please note: Dogs must be registered and assessed prior to joining our Day Care, vaccination records must be seen by our staff to ensure annual boosters are up to date. Upon successful completion of your dog's written assessment, you are required to book your dog for a trial day for a duration of up to 5 hours. Important: due to new Licensing requirements (January 2022), we will require that your dog is vaccinated against Kennel Cough in order to use our Day Care facility. Please also note, we are unable to take unneutered male dogs older that are 6 months of age or older.
